The default color of GRUB2 is ridiculously ugly so here is one method to change it.
ch3cooh@ch3cooh-T420~> cat /lib/plymouth/themes/default.grub set color_normal=white/black set menu_color_normal=white/black set menu_color_highlight=light-blue/black
Do not forget to update-grub after changing the config.
