another指三个以上不定数目的“另一个，类似的一个”。例如：
I’m afraid the coat is too tight round my waist. Would you show me another?
This route takes us too long. There must be another that is shorter.
Making a promise is one thing and keeping it is another.
与the other的区别。 the other特指“两者中的另一个”。例如：
We have only two dresses. If you don’t want this one, I’ll show you the other.
The doctor said that one of my eyes was better than the other.
another的复数形式是 some/any others 或 some/any more. 例如：
I don’t like the color of the washer. Show me another.
These trousers are too large. Show me some others.
Sorry,we have two copies left. We can’t give you another.
Sorry,we have not enough test papers. I can’t give you any more.
Having eaten a cake, Oliver asked for another.
The cookies tasted nice. Oliver asked for some more.
others表示另外的人或物，具有泛指意义。例如：
Children grow quickly in some ways but slowly in others.
In the summer vacation, some like to travel, and others like to have part-time jobs.
the others特指另外的人或物。例如：
We got home at six, but the others didn’t get back until ten o’clock.
In the class Mary enjoys pop music, but the others enjoy classical music.
