题目:
Design a search autocomplete system for a search engine. Users may input a sentence (at least one word and end with a special character ‘#‘
). For each character they type except ‘#‘, you need to return the top 3 historical hot sentences that have prefix the same as the part of sentence already typed. Here are the specific rules:
Your job is to implement the following functions:
The constructor function:
AutocompleteSystem(String[] sentences, int[] times):
This is the constructor. The input is historical data. Sentences
is a string array consists of previously typed sentences. Times
is the corresponding times a sentence has been typed. Your system should record these historical data.
Now, the user wants to input a new sentence. The following function will provide the next character the user types:
List<String> input(char c):
The input c
is the next character typed by the user. The character will only be lower-case letters (‘a‘
to ‘z‘
), blank space (‘ ‘
) or a special character (‘#‘
). Also, the previously typed sentence should be recorded in your system. The output will be the top 3 historical hot sentences that have prefix the same as the part of sentence already typed.
Example:
Operation: AutocompleteSystem(["i love you", "island","ironman", "i love leetcode"], [5,3,2,2])
The system have already tracked down the following sentences and their corresponding times:"i love you"
: 5
times"island"
: 3
times"ironman"
: 2
times"i love leetcode"
: 2
times
Now, the user begins another search:
Operation: input(‘i‘)
Output: ["i love you", "island","i love leetcode"]
Explanation:
There are four sentences that have prefix "i"
. Among them, "ironman" and "i love leetcode" have same hot degree. Since ‘ ‘
has ASCII code 32 and ‘r‘
has ASCII code 114, "i love leetcode" should be in front of "ironman". Also we only need to output top 3 hot sentences, so "ironman" will be ignored.
Operation: input(‘ ‘)
Output: ["i love you","i love leetcode"]
Explanation:
There are only two sentences that have prefix "i "
.
Operation: input(‘a‘)
Output: []
Explanation:
There are no sentences that have prefix "i a"
.
Operation: input(‘#‘)
Output: []
Explanation:
The user finished the input, the sentence "i a"
should be saved as a historical sentence in system. And the following input will be counted as a new search.
Note:
题解:
For each sentences, we need a data structure to track its multiplicity when we type each character. Thus we could use Trie.
For TireNode, we need to maintain its next TireNodes, for this node, all the sentences start with root -> current node prefix and sentences multiplicity.
Since we only need top 3 sentences and autocomplete should return supper fast when typing each char, we should also have a saved top 3 results in each TrieNode.
When each sentence is over, we need to update all the TrieNodes all the way to get new top 3 results.
Time Complexity: AutocompleteSystem, O(n * len * logn). n = sectences.length. len is average length of sentence. updateTop3 takes O(logn) time. input, O(1) or not ‘#‘. O(len) or ‘#‘.
Space: O(n*len).
AC Java:
1 class AutocompleteSystem { 2 StringBuilder sb; 3 TrieNode root; 4 TrieNode point; 5 6 public AutocompleteSystem(String[] sentences, int[] times) { 7 sb = new StringBuilder(); 8 root = new TrieNode(); 9 point = root; 10 11 for(int i = 0; i < sentences.length; i++){ 12 String s = sentences[i]; 13 int t = times[i]; 14 TrieNode cur = root; 15 16 for(char c : s.toCharArray()){ 17 if(cur.nexts[c] == null){ 18 cur.nexts[c] = new TrieNode(); 19 } 20 21 cur = cur.nexts[c]; 22 cur.map.put(s, cur.map.getOrDefault(s, 0) + t); 23 cur.updateTop3(); 24 HashMap<String, Integer> curMap = cur.map; 25 } 26 } 27 } 28 29 public List<String> input(char c) { 30 if(c == ‘#‘){ 31 TrieNode cur = root; 32 String s = sb.toString(); 33 for(char sChar : s.toCharArray()){ 34 cur = cur.nexts[sChar]; 35 cur.map.put(s, cur.map.getOrDefault(s, 0) + 1); 36 cur.updateTop3(); 37 } 38 39 sb = new StringBuilder(); 40 point = root; 41 return new ArrayList<String>(); 42 } 43 44 sb.append(c); 45 if(point.nexts[c] == null){ 46 point.nexts[c] = new TrieNode(); 47 } 48 49 point = point.nexts[c]; 50 return point.top3; 51 } 52 } 53 54 class TrieNode{ 55 TrieNode [] nexts; 56 HashMap<String, Integer> map; 57 List<String> top3; 58 59 public TrieNode(){ 60 nexts = new TrieNode[256]; 61 map = new HashMap<>(); 62 top3 = new ArrayList<>(); 63 } 64 65 public void updateTop3(){ 66 top3 = new ArrayList<>(); 67 PriorityQueue<Map.Entry<String, Integer>> maxHeap = new PriorityQueue<>( 68 (a, b) -> a.getValue() == b.getValue() ? a.getKey().compareTo(b.getKey()) : b.getValue() - a.getValue()); 69 70 for(Map.Entry<String, Integer> entry : map.entrySet()){ 71 maxHeap.add(entry); 72 } 73 74 int k = 3; 75 while(!maxHeap.isEmpty() && k-- > 0){ 76 top3.add(maxHeap.poll().getKey()); 77 } 78 } 79 } 80 81 /** 82 * Your AutocompleteSystem object will be instantiated and called as such: 83 * AutocompleteSystem obj = new AutocompleteSystem(sentences, times); 84 * List<String> param_1 = obj.input(c); 85 */
类似Implement Trie (Prefix Tree).
