8.at night 在晚上， 可以有多种用法。用法不同，意思上也有些差别。

1. at night，为固定用法，和in the morning 一样的。泛指“在夜晚”at night 习惯上的固定搭配，侧重于晚上，比in the evening 稍微要迟一些。 in the evening习惯上的固定搭配 ,比较侧重于傍晚那段时间。

2. in the night，某个夜晚，night 前加定冠词the，表示一个时间段，相当于during the night。in 后跟的是较长一段时间，比如周，月，年，一天中的一段时间，比如week、December、morning、evening。而at后跟短暂是时间和餐点，比如midnight、noon、breakfast、lunch那么，我们看night表示的是深夜以后，也就是22:00到24:00。这只是比较短的一段时间，所以用at。例如：Xiao Ming visited me at 10:30 in the night. 小明晚上10点半来看望了我。

3. on the/a night  特指某一具体日期的夜晚，受具体日期的限定。例如： He dropped in on a cold winter night. 一个寒冷冬日的夜晚，他顺道拜访了我。The party was held on the night of his brithday. 聚会是在他生日那天晚上举办的。例如； He dropped in on a cold winter night. 一个寒冷冬日的夜晚，他顺道拜访了我。

4. at night在夜间，在傍晚。一般可指整个夜间或午夜以前。in the night 在夜间，在夜里（某个时候）。例如：He often stays up at night. 他晚上经常熬夜.
