Be动词的形式：

be,一般现在时（is,am,are）,过去时（was,were）,（现在分词）being,（过去分词）been

is,was用于单数   are,were用于复数

1. The man is back. The man 主语是单数 所以be动词用is
2. They are back. They复数主语
3. He was back.  was过去时
4. They were back.
5. They have been back.  完成时态，表示已经完成

be动词的用法

后面接名词、形容词、地点副词或短语作补足语。

1. The man is a teacher. 　　　　is后面接了名词补充说明主语性质
2. Mary’s new dresses are colorful. 　　are后面接形容词
3. My mother was in the kitchen.           was后面接了地点副词

总结：be动词只做连接作用

Be 动词的练习

1. 他们是老师。（they,teachers）

They are teachers. 主语是复数，时态是一般现在时，所以用are

1. 他以前是一名老师。（he,a,teacher,before）

He was a teacher before.  He是第三人称单数，before是过去，所以用was

3.他已经当了3年的老师。（for 3 years）

He has been a teacher for 3 years.  for 3 years已经3年了，表示已经完成，主语he为第三人称单词，用了has ,复数为have
