前半部分：

Good morning esteemed faculty and families of my fellow graduates:
It’s my honor to be standing up here today.
I know that we all think we‘re immortal,
We‘re supposed to feel that way,we‘re graduating.
But like our brief four years in high school,
What makes life valuable is that it doesn‘t last forever,
What makes it precious is that it ends.
I know that now more than ever.
And I say it today of all days to remind us that time is luck.
So don‘t waste it living someone else’s life, make yours count our something.
Fight for what matters to you,no matter what.
Because even if you fall short,what better way is there to live?
中文版:
我们总觉得自己是平凡人，本应也是如此。如今我们毕业了，正如我们这短短的四年高中生活一样。生命中最值得珍惜的其实并不是永恒的。因为它会结束，使其变得弥足珍贵，而且它将一去不返。在今天这样一个场合，我说出这样的话，让我谨记时间就是运气，所以不要把它浪费在别人的生活上。让你的生活过得更有价值，为你认为重要的事奋斗下去，无论那是什么，即使我们做不到，我们还有什么更好的方式生活吗？
后半部分：
For English:
It‘s easy to feel hopeful on a beautiful day like today.
But there will be dark days ahead of us too.
There will be days where you feel all alone.
And that‘s when hope is needed most.
No matter how buried it gets or how lost you feel, you must promise me that you will hold on to hope.
Keep it alive.
We have to be greater than what we suffer.
My wish for you is to become hope.
People need that, and even if we fail what better way is there to live?
As we look around here today, at all of the people who helped make us who we are.
I know if feels like we‘re saying goodbye.
But we will carry a piece of each other, into everything that we do next.
To remind us of who we are, and of who we‘re meant to be.
I‘ve had a great four years with you.
I‘ll miss you all very much.
中文版：
在今天这样晴好的日子里，很容易感到充满希望，但我们也会经历阴暗的日子，会有感到孤独的日子，那时才是最需要希望的时候，不管希望有多么渺茫，或者你感到多么的迷茫，你一定要答应我，你要心怀希望，要抱有希望。痛苦的时候我们比想象中的强大，我对你的期望是让你变成大家的希望，人人都需要有希望，即使失败过，还有什么更好的生活方式吗？
