1.Around 10,000 B.C., with the end of the ice ages, people began to settle down in one place and grow crops and domesticate animals. This was the "agricultural revolution." (This begins the Neolithic era 新石器时代)

3.Eventually these settlements grew and became more complex cities. There was an "urban revolution" and this is when we think of the beginning of "civilization."
