Be a part of Customer Support and Service (CSS) Engineering Community & Online (ECO) Business Intelligence team to transform CSS to a data driven organization! In this role, you’ll build and implement a BI platform that delivers business insight to the CSS business. You’ll do this by:
l Working with Product Management to translate business requirements into technical specifications. l Modeling business processes resulting in logical/physical designs. l Extracting, transforming and loading data from multiple sources to dimensional models. l Delivering star schemas and OLAP cubes that support self-service analytics. l Supporting the development of an information architecture that delivers a common understanding of the business to disparate groups. l Supporting ad-hoc data/queries from our reporting environment.
These activities improve our customer experience by having CSS better understand how our customers use our products and services while reducing our operational costs. We do this by delivering an analytics platform that’s leveraged by data and business analysts throughout CSS.
This position works closely with: l Our Product Management team who owns our development priorities. l The broader CSS business community who have ongoing thirst for data and knowledge. l Operations to consistently push out changes to our environment (i.e. we are constantly releasing).
Qualification and Skills l Passion for the business intelligence space. l Past experience in implementing BI/Data Warehousing solutions. l Be knowledgeable on the Microsoft BI technical stack (SQL Server, T_SQL, OLAP, SSIS, SSRS, PPS, etc.). l Experience/usage of Big Data solutions is a plus l Be customer/delivery focused. Excellent problem solving abilities. l Passion for high code quality, and high project quality. l Good communication skills in both Chinese and English, and the ability to work across multiple disciplines to achieve great results l Knowledge /experience of customer support business is a plus l Bachelors/Masters in engineering or computer science.
