THE ROLE We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Development Engineer who is passionate about the customer experience and self-service to lead development and architecture. There is an opportunity to lead development for the reinvention of how people interact with Microsoft’s Cloud Business in China and use new technology to create positive user experiences for customers and partners.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience delivering large enterprise projects using software engineering best practices such as source control management, build automation, unit testing, debugging, issue tracking, bug management, and code reviews. He / She should be able to balance complex and competing technical priorities, be able to actively develop at both the driver and application levels, and be able to manage and mentor developers on the team. The ideal candidate must have an solid understanding of enterprise architectures, software engineering principles, strong information and process modeling abilities, expert understanding of object-oriented analysis and design, advanced knowledge of the .Net platform, deep knowledge of software infrastructure, good knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies, and be independently proficient in developing enterprise level software solutions. You must also possess superior problem-solving skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with other engineering disciplines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO): ? Collaborate with internal and external tenants, onboarding teams, program managers, developers, tester to conduct relevant development discipline jobs ? Work closely with senior lead to help drive the overall project architecture, solution and engineering excellence. ? Key contributor in feature team and cross teams for component/feature level design work ? Write technical specification, deployment scripts, deployment/troubleshooting guide, etc. ? Design, code and unit test the assigned features ? Review functional spec, technical spec and codes
QUALIFIATIONS AND EXPERIENCE INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO): BS/BA in computer science or related field required (MS in computer science or related field preferred). 8+ years of demonstrated software development work experience with multiple full release cycles of major software products Exceptional track record in design and implementation of complex software systems or applications include a broad set of service technologies, architecture and design patterns using Microsoft platform Expert architecture, design, & implementation skills in most of the following areas: C#, ASP.NET, SQL, SOA, WCF, XML, and web based and/or smart client OLTP design and development and a high degree of understanding of security, scalability, flexibility, maintainability, and reliability. Experience and knowledge of cloud enabled services and applications. Experience with Windows Azure Platform will be a plus. Expert object oriented development and design experience. Strong conceptualization, analytical, and logic skills. Exceptional problem solving, troubleshooting, planning, and organizational navigation skills. Experiences in development & test methodologies and frameworks (test driven development, agile development models, Kanban etc.). Ability to see emerging technology trends in industry and bring that knowledge to work group. A passionate team player
