Discovery & Collaboration team is responsible for Application Marketplace Services, Collaboration Consulting, Discovery Services, Enterprise Video Platform & Delivery, SharePoint Platform Solutions & Services, and Custom Portal Strategies within Microsoft IT. We develop cutting edge solutions and real-time services by leveraging SharePoint Server, SharePoint Online, and Windows Azure to empower effective business collaboration by connecting people to information and others. The applications and services we build are customer showcases for how to integrate custom development with out of the box features of SharePoint Server/SharePoint Online/Azure and address such areas as modern app development, social computing, information discovery & governance, and enterprise content management.
THE ROLE Discovery & Collaboration is looking for a Senior Dev Lead to join the China team in Beijing. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Development Lead who is passionate about the customer experience and self-service to lead development and architecture. This position will lead the engineering development work and contribute to development strategy Disc & Collab China.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience delivering large enterprise projects using software engineering best practices such as source control management, build automation, unit testing, debugging, issue tracking, bug management, and code reviews. He / She should be able to balance complex and competing technical priorities and be able to manage and mentor developers on the team. If you have the vision and passion to lead the design and develop Enterprise-level business applications that solve real world customer problems and have the skill to make it happen, then this is the job for you.
The ideal candidate must have an solid understanding of enterprise architectures, software engineering principles, strong information and process modeling abilities, expert understanding of object-oriented analysis and design, advanced knowledge of the .Net platform, deep knowledge of software infrastructure, good knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies, and be proficient in leading enterprise level software solutions development. You must also possess superior problem-solving skills to guide your team to collaborate effectively with other engineering disciplines.
QUALIFIATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Ability to lead a Development Team across multiple complex applications. Good leadership skills and people management experience. Excellent communication and written skills are critical. Proven track record of shipping secure, high quality, and high performance software. Experience and knowledge of cloud enabled services and applications. Ability to work with Program Management, Delivery Management/Solution Management, QA and our Customers teams to understand both business and technical scenarios to ensure we’re building or configuring the right things for the business. Strong conceptualization, analytical, and logic skills. Exceptional problem solving, troubleshooting, planning, and organizational navigation skills. Ability to see emerging technology trends in industry and bring that knowledge to work group. Experiences in development & test methodologies and frameworks (test driven development, agile development models, Kanban etc.) will be a plus. Experience with Windows Azure Platform will be a plus. Expert architecture, design, & implementation skills in most of the following areas: C#, ASP.NET, SQL, SOA, WCF, XML, HTML5, MVC and SharePoint and a high degree of understanding of security, scalability, flexibility, maintainability, and reliability. BS/BA in computer science or related field required (MS in computer science or related field preferred). 8+ years of related work experience, with experiences of Development Lead or Development Manager.
